Since 1952 Engstler Uhren is a family owned business located in Villingen-Schwenningen in the Black Forest in Germany. Their passion for outstanding cuckoo clocks has pushed them forward to innovate and uphold impeccable quality in their clocks.
Josef Engstler originally founded the company and it has since handed it down to Gerold Engstler who hopes to hand it down to the fourth generation of Engstlers in the future. Over 20 employees hand craft and finely tune these works of art and give them painted and stained finishes that are among the highest quality in the clock market.
Engstler’s attention to detail is sometime to note. Their figurines come from Gardena Valley in South Tyrol and Linden Wood is used to craft the cases of the clocks, also from the region.
The movements in Engstler cuckoo clocks are made by their experts themselves, right in the heart of the Black Forest. The first quartz cuckoo clock movements were made by Engstler and their commitment to innovation is unmatched in this market. They’ve also been known to create extremely unique designs, exchanging cuckoo birds for cars in some occasions.
Engstler has used their ability to innovate and uphold generations of tradition exceptionally well over the years, and to date, is one of the finest Black Forest clock manufacturers around.
